March 10, 2008: After years of dealing with various domain registrars, we've decided to update our endorsements for domain registrars. The two domain registrars we currently use are webnames.ca and Dynadot.

webnames.ca was founded by John Demco, Manager of Computing Facilities at the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, who conceived and administered the .CA registry from 1987 to December 2000. We always found the webnames.ca team to be very reliable and exceptionally responsive.

Dynadot is a domain name registrar and web host located in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002, Dynadot is a debt-free, privately held company, that offers personalized customer service and very competitive prices for a wide variety of top-level domains (TLDs).

Basically, if you require a .CA domain, check out webnames.ca, and if you need a .COM, .NET or .ORG or others, have a look at Dynadot. Neither of these firms are the rock-bottom-cheapest around, but their interface and administration tools are excellent. Plus, chances are they'll actually still be around five or ten years from now, which probably couldn't be said for 80% of the registars out there. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with what they have to offer.
